Ive finally decided that pcp's are getting boring and want to go back to springers again already got a nice HW95k in .22, but shot a pro sport and a lcu the other day and fell in love, sad I know 🙈, anyway I've been offered a 2 week old pro sport .22 for a good price but whilst window shopping found a tx200hc in
.177 for a really good price I think it's a hc because it's got a factory fitted mod, now the question which is causing sleepless night which one to go for I mainly shoot field target and occasionally indoor bench rest. Someone please help my brain settle down 😂, ps I would love a lcu the holy grail but rare as actually winning the lottery.

i’ve been looking at adding another springer to the collection, after much agonising and you tube late nights i narrowed it down to those two, but in the end i knew that if i bought the TX i would of kicked myself for not buying the Prosport so for me it’s the Prosport, now just have to find the right one with a nicely grained walnut stock

For me it would be the pro sport, you mention its up for a really good price, so you are already edging towards that one 😀 you will not regret buying one as they are superb rifles, fitting a welsh willy or Tony Leach kit in them just makes them sublime... go for the pro sport in 177 and then please post some pictures of it once you have it on this thread so we can all drool over it 😉

I’ve recently bought new a 97k .22 I was smitten 2 weeks later off the back of it, a TX 200 .22 full length, both pretty much equal.
I wanted the TX HC but I found it front heavy, hence the full length, much better balanced IMO 😉👍

I have both of those in the same calibres and the hw95 in .22

Here’s my twopeneth worth.

The prosport in .22 is completely bog standard. Shots like a dream and is lazer accurate. It also looks stunning. It is ever so slightly faffier to cock than the tx200 but no by mic when you get into the swing of it.

The tx200 I’ve had for over 20 years now. It’s one gun that’s always stuck with me. Again it looks great, lazer accurate and shoots like a dream. It is slightly easier to cock than the prosport having a more traditional under leaver. I would say the weight of that under leaver does help with any muzzle flip too.

I didn’t think your will be disappointed with either gun and I’m sure there will be a lot of people who say prosport. Because of the disciplines you mentioned you want to shoot it in I would probably go with the .177 calibre. I don’t shoot FT or HFT and have only dipped my toe into bench rest but I would have thought you would have wanted .177 both, especially the FT unless you are competing in a .22 in that discipline.

Another vote for. GO PROSPORT.
If you are absolutely determined to have a Air arms spring air rifle, The Prospoert is the way to go 100% its no click click CLICK! its slick silent and auto just another world compared to the TX200 Faff.
Its better looking better balanced its in every way superior its actually an air arms springer i would own i have shot a mates pro sport a lot had it here a month or more once i loved it if i found one on a gun rack some where and it was right and right money i would buy it in a heartbeat.
I tried to tolerate the TX200 a mark 2 clicker horrible i gave it a good spin i really did it was nice condition off a close mate of mine who just spat the dummy out with the TX200 and bought a new in a box HW97KT he loves it .
I did exactly the same .
No for me what thats worth Air arms Prosport , leave the TX200 for the died in the wool TX200 fans. Just sayin.

The TX is designed for shooting.
Then, with basically same internals, Air Arms designed a gun, wanting it more pleasing to the eye and called it ProSport.
The underlever is a compromise, less robust and harder to cock and buttons on the comp tube add complexity to any reduced calibre conversion.
Both are excellent guns, whether to pay extra for the Prima Donna over the Workhorse will be down to personal choice and depth of pocket.

Only fitted basic Nikko sterling 3-9x50 to test this morning 🥳

Don’t lose any sleep over it Andy, they are both great rifles and this sport being what it is, you will probably end up buying one first then adding the other one at a later date! That’s what I did!🤣
Mine are both in .22 and they are lovely, both in their own ways.

If you want to hang it on the wall, Prosport. If you want to shoot it, TX every time.
And if you shoot FT you want .177.

Only one correct answer, get both!
Or get the pro sport, cos if you get the TX you will always wish that you got the PS, so....
Ignore the nancy boys complaining about the PS cocking lever, they is wimps!!!
:)(y)💪💪💪
