My steel bottle seems to be getting heavier every time I go to the range so time to go carbon.

Any recommendations on which type or where to buy from?

Currently looking at Bisley from local range for £280 or Best Fittings with bling kit from Redbeck for £285

I think they are pretty much all the same mate. I bought a 6.8/9L carbon from best fittings with the bling kit. Feels like half the weight of my steel 5l I used to use. That is just sitting in my gun room like an ornament now.

Reason I chose best fittings is because of.
you guessed it, the fittings 😂 it was £320ish with the bling kit.

Someone will no doubt be able to go into more depth about what to buy and the reasons behind it. I just chose best fittings because I trust them and the bling kit gives you everything all in one package.

The cylinders from Wolfman have a right angle valve handle which is much easier to manipulate
Delivered full of air ... good price too

As above I don't think there's much in it, Maybe worth considering what type of valve is on the top and how the hand wheel for opening is orientated. I have 5L steel bisley with the bisley type valve and hand wheel mounted on the top. I find that when turning the valve open to fill the rifle, the bottle (despite its weight) tries to turn with the handle and that to me is a pain in the arse when you're holding onto most likely an expensive rifle that you don't wanna drop. I can only imagine this will be more so with a lighter carbon bottle.
I think the MDE type valve has the wheel mounted on the side therefore no bottle twist an opening or closing. Maybe worth considering.

I'm sure at IWA this year saber tactical have a new valve system coming out that uses just levers. It will be about £300 I'm sure he said but I was very interested in that

Interesting Mr McMain will keep an eye out, I'm in the market for new 'un' this year with more capacity and less anoying valve system 👌

Existing Saber Tactical valve is £200 so think the new one would be more than that. Think that would have to be future upgrade if needed
Yeah he says $250 in that video so where I got 300 from is anyone's guess. I saw a video a couple of months ago and thought that would be cool but it's the same price as my bottle just for that part 😂😂

It's the 1st thing in that video. This one's from the British shooting show
Hmm looks good, complete new block design.... I'd have to get shot of the large fill pressure gauge on top though in favour of a smaller option. looks like big ben sat up there. Looks simple to use though... Like it lots.

Looks like it’s this one, a few changes from the prototype

That one was out in 2024 maybe sooner the new one in the video hasn't been released yet

Hello, Lighter than a bottle and you can use your motor battery as it has croc type clips
Yes, but I would have to walk back to the car to use it, which defeats the requirement for a lighter bottle. I could leave the 7L steel one in the boot.
There are usually 2 to 4 of us using my bottle and the walk back to the car every time one needs filling isn't realistic.
