OK bought a Nate Chrony and think I got it working but! No matter what I I enter under pellet weight it always seem to show 130.2495 grains, I’m using JSB shorts at 8.44 grams, below is a string of shots. What am I doing wrong?

How do I calculate the foot per pound? I made it over 12! Which alarms me a little.

Have I got weight wrong? And what is formula to get foot per pound from below?

Any help really appreciated please.IMG_1468.webp

At 802.6 fps if your pellets actually weight 8.44 gr then your rifle is overpowered. There are plenty of calculators online e.g.

On the NateChrony you can enter your pellet weight either in grains (8.44 in your case) or grams, then press the appropriate 'set' button directly below to save what you have input:

Just spotted that your highest muzzle velocity (which is what you should use) is actually 809.05, which is even worse:

Did you do the 'Pellet Drop Test' as recommended PS the test pellet is normally hiding in the lil black bag 😉

You're really not helping🤣
@Justin44 Sorry, trying tooo... find the Drop Test pellet... put chrono on table (plugged to your device etc) Drop the test pellet in the opening the gun connects to and Drop without hitting the sides.... should read 1-6 fps ish...no need to input details for Drop Test etc
Fit to rifle muzzle straight (depending on adapter etc)
Online website help page explains everything including cleaning light sensors whilst using supplied lil screwdriver 🐼👍🏻 awesome bit of kit BTW

Thanks everyone, think I need to test again. Yes I did the pellet drop test thing. Gun is a Redwolf and I think I had it set on mid power not full.

I’ll get down the range and test again and put some heavier pellets through, but from what I can see above it seems to confirm my gun is over powered.
