Apologies if this question has been asked before - I've searched the forum but am unable to find an answer.
Are there any "Remington Airacobra" owners on the forum who can tell/advise me how to remedy, what is to my mind, the excessive pre-travel/ take-up on the trigger. It takes forever from the initial squeeze to the break point and the problem is in the second stage. How do I go about adjusting the trigger, there's absolutely no information in the manual.
Thank you.

OK. Thanks for the reply, and the bump. I' m thinking it's probably best to ask SMK directly, as they're the importers.

Oh thanks. I must have phrased the original query wrong:( I'll have a crack tomorrow.(y)

The search function on the forum doesnt work well for me either. Try google mate. It looks like a small ball bearing mod is the way to sort that trigger. Hopefully a member with experience will advise 🤞

My thanks to everyone who reponded to my query... problem solved.
I looked for "YT" videos on the "Gamo" trigger unit and found one on "Airgun Depot" in which it was said that one of the problems is that the adjustment screw is usually all the way in and that's when I had my facepalm moment - I had assumed that the screw would be at the extent of its travel, but I'd never actually tried it. Far from being all the way in, the screw was as far out as it would go ... a few turns of the screwdriver and now I have a very acceptable trigger action.
So, as I said, thanks to everyone who replied - particular thanks to "Neil54" for his post regarding the "Gamo" trigger.
The most galling part, for me, is that I'm the guy who always says, "Never assume, always check!", deep sigh.

That video was the reason I first considered the "Airacobra". :) and the decider was Andy on "AAR".

I fancied one myself but ended up buying the similarly named Airacuda by JTS which my mate snaffled off me shortly after.
Incidently both of which are named after American WW2 aircraft.

I like mine very much, I tried one and the tldr is that I p-exed my HW77K to get her. No regrets.

My airacobra trigger is very light now, done some mods to it to ve able to adjust it better, there are two ways of doing it. The first one which i think is better is using a longer screw but you will want to add a spring to push the trigger as it will become floppy. The 2nd option is the bearing mod but the trigger will still feal abit heavy and you will loos the safty feature.

My gun is completely difrent as iv regulated it and its now a side lever.

I was lucky in that the screw on mine seems to be longer than those I've seen on "YT" videos. She's where I want her to be now, so I'm not going to take it any farther or she may end up in hair-rigger territory.

Nice conversion, by the way. (y)
Yeah mines a crisp brake doesn't take much as I like it that way for target use. Yeah it really compliments the gun being a side lever its so smooth pluss its easily converted back to a bolt action

Man that side lever mod looks super awesome ❤️. This is my 1st PCP and I am love… Got a Hawke scope via the Bay can’t wait to fit it on
