One of my friends want to try a bit of "Glamping" in a Yurt or Shepherd's Hut type set up
BUT with an indoor loo as she does not fancy several trips across a field to get to a toilet block every night due to her health issues -
and seems to think I might have some ideas about how to find a suitable place . . . .
(No!)

So I am asking the AGF hive mind - any suggestions or helpful comments please?

Is such a thing available, from your experience?
If so, where - preferably in England?

She has tried renting a caravan but fancies something a bit different.
Dog friendly would be ideal, if possible.

If it helps and you want a few days away, I’ve been working in Stow on the Wold recently, spent time staying in shepherds huts , all the facilities in a great setting.
Will pm details if required 👍

Oooh, I like the look of that place.
Might end up going there myself!

Probably my non-existent tech skills but I could not find any info on availability on the site to give me prices - so I haveEMailed them.

Ive just had a mooch cause I may fancy going back those gingerbread houses have a shower aswell

Ive just seen a price of 180 for a 2 night stay in a hobbit hole but better deals might be had.

My sister and I had 1 each side by side . My boys and her girls loved it . You can barbecue on the porches .

There was a cooked breakfast delivery taking orders for the morning. Like I said the bar was a good night . And the scenery well its the lakes you cant beat it .

Not quite glamping, but for dog friendly holidays in a nice setting there is Forest Holidays.

They are essentially large cabins that are spaced out throughout the forests and have full self catering, toilets, bedrooms, hot tub and fully dog friendly, and also benefit from a small central restaurant/bar at the car park.

We really liked them, although a touch pricey if just two of you in the entire cabin as they have two bedrooms minimum, but they are really nice locations if you like a little more amenities 👍

Locations all over Britain.

2 hobbit holes next to each other might be ideal for us, too!
They sound quite reasonable prices.

That sounds cool - good to know for future reference, thank you.

We will not be sharing a cabin - not that sort of friend! - so 2 x cabins would be a bit steep I imagine but will take a look later.

When I say cabin, they aren't pokey small things, one bedroom is full double with en suite, and the other is a twin with a bathroom/toilet directly opposite.

But yeah, if not that close a friend it's nice to have your own space 👍

Sounds like a really great set up - just not for us, thank you.

Separate cabins needed - not just separate bedrooms,

Never had an issue with using a builders bucket in the back of the van

Ideal for glamping 👍🏻

Update, in case anyone is interested.
We are now booked in for weekend of the 25th at Stow on the Wold following the info from @Paynut

Ullswater looks wonderful - might well get visited at some point but starting nearer home is probably wiser for her first expedition.

Many thanks to @Paynut, @Super-20 and @Popgun Rob

Why not just buy a commode you can take it anywhere.
If you are hiking it can be lashed to a fishing trolley so its alway on hand.😁
