you should have some way of adjusting the leg heights to cater for cant, such as the other ones you see have little grubscrews or some kind of lock on the sides for adjusting the height of the legsThe range I shoot at allow a fixed bipod for shooting benchrest cards. I’ve seen most shooters with one made by the resident engineer but fancied a go at making my own during lunch breaks at work.
I was kindly donated a Picatinny clamp on here and used scrap aluminium and some bolts laying around the workshop. It’s pretty rustic but very solid and I’m quite pleased with it considering my limited skills at metal work. It still needs cleaning up and probably painting but I will give it a good test at the range on Saturday before I put any more time into it.

??? A bipod is 2 legs, whether it forms a square or triangle. A tripod is 3 legs. Triangles are stronger than squares, so was just wondering as I've never seen a square one before.A "triangle bipod" is a "tripod"....![]()
