Scorpion Se.Very interesting with the Scorpion, is it the SE? We are finding the Ultra SE to be excellent with Zan 13s and Pro Hunter 9.7s. Short barrel and high reg pressure is important, rifle lands are the most important

Some people (including me), just like to play and try something different.and if you find something thats great thats even better surely. Can't see why you want slugs in sub 12fp the JSB 10.34 and the Dead Centre at 10.4 work fantastic with out all the messing about ,not a FX fan there only good in FAC IMO
We ensure that whatever we put in our rifles stay below 12ftlbs without adjustment. To maintain viability we trial and seek out barrels and platforms with the least amount of variance between slugs and pellets of equivalent weight. Rifling lands, barrel length, reg pressure, valve, choke, lots of factors can increase or decrease the variance. For a slug to go faster than a pellet you are going to have to lower the slug wieght to stay legal sub 12.
Zan do a sample pack, might be worth getting that. The Zan 13s and 16s are usually more stable and forgiving in sub12. With the sample pack you could try their range of options and save £. Short barrels and high reg pressure in the micro hunter might be better suited, you might get lucky, 1:16 twist rate is preferred i guess the TM1000 is 1.17.7? Hopefully they won't come out too slow. Good luck and if you try, please feedback!!Be interesting to see what they are like in a TM1000, may get myself a tin to try
Thats safe then!10's at 700fps is 10.88 fpe
but with 10.34's he states 11.8fpe thats 5 fps from 12fpe . i hope hes got a blummin good reg coz thats to close to the line for me know how jsb 10.34's are these days .Thats safe then!
Dont jsb do a 13g 177 beast pellet?but with 10.34's he states 11.8fpe thats 5 fps from 12fpe . i hope hes got a blummin good reg coz thats to close to the line for me know how jsb 10.34's are these days .
They do. Never read of anyone testing for power with them though which they should as you point out.Dont jsb do a 13g 177 beast pellet?![]()
They do a 14gr ish monster pellet in .177They do. Never read of anyone testing for power with them though which they should as you point out.

I have to say I do feel there is a certain negative undertone to the replies in this thread. Which I find odd. Like people don't approve of someone trying their best, indeed going above and beyond, to find some definitive answers to a question many people are curious about.
I find I am a bit sad and ashamed and not like the usual friendly AGF attitude. It's hardly encouraging is it![]()

You would think that...... But they lock people up for hurry words on Facebook so I don't like to chance itIn Georgia we should all search out eh absolute heaviest, or lightest, pelet and power test with that certainly.
But I have also been led to believe that testing with whatever pellets you have at home or with the gun seems much more reasonable and sensible. I cant see the officer trawling the Internet to find some random super weight pellet no one has ever heard of for testing.
I'm sure I'm naive when I say I would like to think sense would prevail.
You are correct. Most are unsuitable. Many assume it is pot luck - our Research Team disagrees; science determines the outcome. We are unlocking secrets and mysteries!Trouble with slugs are they don't suit a lot of legal limit barrels. Fx are different. Not the same as a theoben rapid barrel or airarms s400. They may work good. But I've found that they are too tight in a lot of my guns. Even fac guns. Alot of trial goes into selecting the correct slug for accuracy. But even then you lose a lot of fps. My fac 25cal loves fx hybrid slugs. But I lose 13ftlbs as the are too tight and possibly the choke slows em down. Some other guns have better barrels. My fac redwolf likes the fx hybrid and does 48ftlbs on medium setting with excellent accuracy. But I don't bother in sub limit now.
I use them (jsb monster 13.43gr) in my huntsman for BR. They produce less power than 10.34s but excellent accuracy. They do. Never read of anyone testing for power with them though which they should as you point out.
Always look to the most efficient.Dont jsb do a 13g 177 beast pellet?![]()
