Pro Sport Tbt short stroke

Hi all, I've recently bought a Pro Sport that came with a tbt maxi pro short stroke kit but a badly cut spring and multiple washers.
I've ordered a new weihrauch piston seal a replacement maxi kit. I'm just looking for advice on keeping the short stroke or removing and getting a brit seal pro sport piston seal.

It's got the short stroke fitted but the spring has been cut short and has 6 metal washers. Not pleasant to shoot and struggling to get over 9ft.lbs. For a few quid I'll order a brit seal and try back to back.
 
I tried the new tbt maxi kit with short stroke extension and a new weihrauch piston seal yesterday but it feels a bit snappy and more recoil than I was expecting talking to people. It's consistant around 11ft.lbs with no power washers.

Has anyone tried the tbt maxi kit with and without the short stroke extension, what is the difference? I've never shot one standard or without the short stroke to compare.

As a matter of interest is it a .177 or .22, I think a .22 would benefit more from a short stroke kit because of the slower shot cycle.

It's a. 177. It's much better than when I got it with the short spring and washers fitted. Just doesn't feel as smooth as a tuned 97k or tx200. Super accurate though.

I had a 97k in .22 and it was lovely and smooth to shoot, I just ordered a new TX200hc walnut in .22 and I will fit a Maxi Pro kit to that when it comes. For me personally I would only fit it to a .22 but I know others use them on .177’s as well.
 
Hi all I've just finished cleaning and degreasing my Pro sport 177 , it's new to me so I will be very interested in the results if you do put in a TBT kit as I have been considering doing it as well. After reassembly I put it over the chronograph and I'm tempted just to leave it.

I've fitted a new kit already, I bought the gun with a bit of a roughly cut and fitted TBT maxi pro kit, I replaced the breach seals and piston seal with a new weihrauch one. I'm just not impressed with it but having never shot a standard one or one without the short stroke extension its hard to gauge what would improve it or if that's the best it is.
Its shooting consistent 11 ft.lbs and laser accurate. I could take a bit more off the spring as mid 10's would probably better or remove the short stroke extension and for a standard or brit seal, this would probably mean having to cut the spring and if no better fitting another new spring! I'm probably going to move it on while it is shooting fine and just put it down to one of those guns you don't get on with and buy another 97K.

I wouldn't be fitting a Brit Seal to the short stroke, its for if I removed the short stroke as I don't have a standard seal, I've already spoken to him and he confirmed his seal isn't a straight fit to the short stroke extension hence why I got an original Weihrauch one. No one seems to have fitted a TBT kit and tried it with and without the short stroke extension. I've got no love or time for it so it can sit in the safe until I move it on.

A TbT short stroke kit for a tx200/Pro Sport is supplied with a Hw77/97 early type 25mm seal.

10.5 will be softer in .177, but I don’t like the Pro Sport with the short stroke fitted as it is difficult enough to cock before you start! The Tx is a different story👍
