It didn't, it was Range & Country. Their website shows a one piece mount, however when I called I was told the mounts that came with the scope should fit and to maybe try fitting them again, however they are not correct, I've emailed more images, if I don't get a reply by tomorrow afternoon I'll call them againDid this kit come from Just Airguns by any chance , their site seems the only one showing separate mounts , all others are one piece mounts ?
They fit my hornet like that fine too.As above, flip the other side over.
The Gamo uses the BSA width rail- approx 13mm so standard 11mm mounts don’t sit correctly in the centre.
Although, due to needing low mounts, I use 11mm dovetail SM low on my hornet, with the dovetail flipped over without issue.
The single straps are fine for 13 mm rails although you have to use the jacking screw to crank them open enough to fit. The double screw ones take an alarming amount of cranking to fit them on 13 mm rails but do work also. I've had both on my sons R10.Get some BKL mounts and all will be sorted for you. They will centre perfectly.
Not with the bkl's iny experienceThe problem with these types of mounts is the amount you have to pull in or stretch out to make fit will affect the fit between the dovetail faces, they should normally both be 60 deg, and to make a good, strong joint, they should be face-to-face. This is where the strength comes from if one of the faces is not 60 deg then you will only have a point contact, which will reduce the clamping force.
Did you try flipping over the detachable jaw as several of us suggested then ?Well I called them today after no reply to my emails, and to be honest I'm getting a bit cheesed off.
The first phone call went along the lines of have I tried shooting it as they look OK! I explained all the issues and the images were sent to back it up and still no real agreement that there is anything wrong, he said he'll speak to Gamo and get back to me.
So I just got the call back and he asked if they were the mounts that came with the scope as it should be a one piece mount! Now we're getting to point where I'm being questioned about the authenticity of my issue and then even said in one of the images I sent he can see a scope in the background with a one piece mount on it!
It's the Gamo with the top part of the two piece mounts in background

So basically accusing me of having a one piece mount sent with the scope and putting whatever mounts are on the rifle myself
He went and got a Gamo scope that comes with the kit and guess what ? It's got 2 piece mounts! Not an apology or anything.
He suggested once again that I try the scope, but I said I'm not happy with it at all, so he's speaking to BSA on Monday now.
I don't like making things public, but this is piss poor customer service and I can't remember ever being accused of lying about an issue before when I've dealt with retailers.
I've tried all of that, flipped the clamps 180 etc. If you look at the mount you can see it doesn't sit centrally on the rail, it either sits to the left or right depending on which way you put the mounts on. No amount of tightening can make it line up as it's just not a wide enough piece of metal, maybe if they we're cut sharper it might slide into the dovetail more, but as it is it's just a bodge. Not with the bkl's iny experience

It's what came with the kit unfortunately.A telltale sign ; Avoid if possible, any set of rings with that " cushion"tape in them...
Folks ( makers/ sellers) will say it's to prevent scratching scopes. Bunk! It's there to mask & try to rectify abhorrent quality issues.
Just for future reference, my friend. It's what came with the kit unfortunately.
Gotcha, cheersJust for future reference, my friend.![]()
Ok, it's just you didn't mention you had till now. Good luck getting the right ones supplied...I've tried all of that, flipped the clamps 180 etc. If you look at the mount you can see it doesn't sit centrally on the rail, it either sits to the left or right depending on which way you put the mounts on. Surely they can't be expected to fitted like that
Ah OK, I thought I mentioned it before, obviously notOk, it's just you didn't mention you had till now. Good luck getting the right ones supplied...
Sorry for you issues, I think from your very first photo you can see clearly the mounts are the wrong size. Hope they sort it for you asapApart from the mounts issue, now I've actually processed that phone call I'm pissed off!
I got accused of swapping mounts, what a joke, disgraceful customer service.
Thanks, they've just fobbed me off so far, they've said they look fine several times, how do they look fine?!Sorry for you issues, I think from your very first photo you can see clearly the mounts are the wrong size. Hope they sort it for you asap
