I see a lot of talk about Accutacs and other 'tactical' style expensive bipods, but never hear anyone really talking about the FTR's or any other of this style of bipod. From what i can tell, surely these offer the most stable platform it's humanly possible to achieve with a bipod..?

Just wondering if anyone actually uses these for benchrest, or any other F Class style bipod (I think that's what it's called anyway..?), or reasons why i never see anyone using or even talking about these...

Had one very good but don’t fold in any way so quite bulky
I did notice they are not exactly compact, but that's a non-issue for me. Still seems strange that i don't see or hear more about them, they're far from the most expensive bipods either...

I used one on my 223 for a short while, worked well 👍

I looked into one, but the hassle of having to remove it from the rifle to case it every time I thought I may as well just get a dedicated rifle bench rest one if I'm going down that route
I do have a Tier one ATAC which has been great, opens wide for a stable bench position and options for field use if needed

I had one years ago and moved it on, its a decent bit of kit, but I think it's expensive for what it is, and not as stable as the Accu Tac FC4 G2 which I still have, and TBF, is also more expensive again
