Hi All

My 15yr old nephew came with me to the range at the weekend as he was curious to what all this shooting m'larky his uncle was upto at weekends and now fids himself looking for a new but cheap-as-chips pcp rifle to get get him going. Hes got a very small budget. Id suggested the Snowpeake's AP900 for a start but I think that maybe too high a starting bracket given that he has to also get a scope and all the related bits n pieces to get him started.

So I spotted the Umerex Iconix rifle for around £190, which sounds amazingly cheap but a decent little goer for the money.

Has anyone else got any suggestions for starter rifle that may be just the ticket?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

CP2, Although CO2 powered, tried and tested and well within budget, pistol/carbine rolled into one, red dot, pellets and away you go 👍
Thanks for your quick reply. I'll check that one out.
The Ap900 and AP1000 are value for the money
I spoke to me brother about the AP900 and its out of stock seemingly everywhere. Not surprised as its supposedly a really good relatively cheap rifle.

My lad has the T. rex bullpup and I have the full rifle… good starters with a scope but he will want a new scope fairly quickly.
Im adding all these onto an ever growing list of possibilities. There seems to be some really decent gear for around the £300 when you start to look about. Cheers
