Hi all,

I hope you’re all looking forward to an Easter break.:)

I needed to replace the Shadowfoam in my Ghost case and I finally got around to doing it today (after procrastinating for a fortnight). I watched a couple of the ‘how to’ videos on their YouTube channel and got cracking. To be honest, I’m pretty pleased with the way it’s turned out. It took me a couple of hours of tracing, cutting (and swearing) but it definitely looks a lot better now. It’s not something I’d like to do every day though! 😁

Looks good! Just don't go changing your mind about anything now🤣
That's part of the reason why I waited... I wanted to make sure everything was set up properly before I did it. At 30 quid a sheet, it's not cheap to keep changing. 😁

Nice job there, I did mine 2 years ago for my HW100, I know your pain! I've changed the scope and need to it again another new gun and case additions, I leave it until a nice sunny day and the in-laws are visiting 😁

@Sweep Looks very clean, every time i buy new bits for my Ghost i need to cut more out of my shadow foam and its basically butchered now 🤣 My biggest issue was getting the depth right and not making the depth look like a cat has attacked it. Did you use 70mm stuff or 2 x 30mm?

Im considering buying 2 x 30mm thick so i have a base layer then outline the top layer

I used a single 50mm thick piece and scooped it out as I needed... That was the hardest part. To start with, I layered the top surface with masking tape and then drew around everything. Once that was done, I added the straight edges and curves and went at it from there. It made it much easier to see where I was going. :)

@Sweep side note how do you find the carm mags for the ghost compared to genuine ones? On par, worse, better?
I have two of each but I prefer the Carm ones if I'm honest... Both are easy enough to load but the Carm ones look the part with the orange centres.

I just find when i try to remove it to depth it tears bad and looks a mess when i do it :D

I have 2 layers, cut through the top layer and only areas on lower level where needed.

Fantastic job you have done there fella👌
Shadow foam not the easiest of stuff to work with, looks a nice neat job👍
