šŸ‘»BRK GHOST thread šŸ‘»

Apparently the store did it. It was originally sold to a customer who complained of a leak later that night and then returned it next day.

Wouldn’t touch it. That’s not been adjusted, it’s been butchered. I very much doubt any warranty would be honoured. I wonder if BRK know an ā€œas newā€ gun is being sold like that. Disgraceful.

@sub12shooter The above. DId they shop say how long they've had it? BRK 100% wouldnt touch that warranty if the shops messed with it.

I'm curious as to who the shop is

"Second hand" isn't the issue, but "tampered with" is. Even if they were the most reputable tuning shop in the country, BRK would still not honour any warranty as a critical component relating to power and reliability has been touched by a third-party.

I just spoke to the shop owner and told him that they won't cover warranty and he said he woukd talk to them about it. Not sure what that means

Mate,
i see you are in Norfolk fairly near me so i would be interested to know what shop it is so i can avoid it. Them saying "i will talk to them about it" is complete crap and BRK wont care as its not only had the seal broken but its been adjusted badly using the wrong tool or by a gorilla. If the shop did it then its very poor workmanship.

YEah that looks like its been manhandled and adjusted/taken out with whatevers in the toolbox and not a proper tool.

I'm a bit concerned by who had been bodging that as there are some well known gunshops in and around Norfolk. Without naming one is in the trade section on here and one is now formerly on the trade section. ignoring all the smaller shops in the area i've had no dealing with.

I have to be honest the worst around me is pellpax by far. My usual shop is my favourite and this ghost tampering is the only issue ever had. I want to shop with blackpool air guns they have great stock but I'm a in person touch kind of guy I dislike buying what I can't see or touch.

I think I would contact BRK yourself and ask them what they think or CAB and have you ran it over a chronograph it could be illegal I would not rely on the certificate that came with it as the seal is broken on the gun

Fingers crossed they put it right or provide you with some written assurance re warranty. Kinda funny pellpax catching flak here too 🤣 considering the rusty "new" ghost i got off hem which had been checked by them apparently, dealt with brocock direct to sort thar out. Olivia was great

I hadnt thought if that, yeah def chrono it with heavy pellets and lights to check its consistant and not hot

Really sorry to see the trouble you are having, not good 😠!

I hope it doesn’t put you off having a Ghost because they are excellent rifles and l hope you get it sorted.

Honestly I dont want to risk it with the ghost, I dont have the funding I once had and wont lie had to sell pretty much everything I own to make up enough to get the ghost. Before I was forced to move I had a great collection including my pride and joy M4 but had to sell them to pay for living as I also lost all finances. Ive been trying to get another good rifle for 10 months and after buying the ghost I have literally £2 left in my bank and have to wait a week just to get a scope. I intend to chrono it at the range as most of my shooting range brothers carry a chrono. I will say it packs a hell of a punch, shot it at my headboard solid 3" thick mahogany and it near penetrated the wood.

What is the reg pressure showing on the gauge. And when fired does it go straight back to the setting it shows on the gauge.

Is the gun leaking at all.

Just thought I'd post this in case it might be useful for someone looking for a rear support/bag rider type attachment for their Ghost which is not too expensive or challenging to make. Ideally for two like minded owners as the cost of just over £26.00 provides enough materials to make two.

It's pretty much just a case of assembling using a 100mmx30mm length of ABS round bar which is supplied as a pack two cut to length, one budget low picatinny scope ring, Xwrap shrink tube and a 30mm x 2mm O ring if required. I don't have a lathe so I lightly chamfered the ends of the ABS bar with some wet and dry finishing off with very fine grit.

The rest is pretty self explanatory. The scope rings while snug will clamp the bar at one end and once done add the shrink tube. I got the shrink tube in 30mm which was a snug fit and just wetted it to get it onto the bar. I then poured hot water from my kettle onto it to shrink the tube so it was secure on the ABS bar. No real shrinkage as the tubing was already snug but its very tight now. The added O ring is just as bumper to prevent the scope ring rubbing up against the lab lift I use as a rear support when paper punching.

Yes, I know I have not invented the wheel as someone else posted something similar ages ago using carbon fibre tube. However this is a cost effective option which might suit someone better than buying a 60 quid or so bag rider if this alternative would be suitable for their needs. Links for the materials at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that, was trying to find one with a small enough connection to clear my form stock.
Think I have some carbon fibre tube left from making an extended bipod mounting the same way

From another thread I was beginning to have many suspicions about this member (sub12shooter) šŸ¤”. Things just didn’t start to add up about his posts and now l see he’s gone. A returning banned member apparently šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø!

Hi all

Has anyone put the new cylinder on the ghost carbine if so any chance of some pics šŸ‘

Entirely hypothetically, because I’m not obsessing over getting myself a Ghost or anything *cough*, how do larger scopes fare in terms of balance and eye relief? Are cheek piece extenders and lean-back mounts needed, or can it fit the likes of a t50i with no real issues?

I have a Ghost with a t50i fitted. I find it fits perfectly with no balance issues, I had to put eagle vision forward mounts to get a good eye relief though.
