Finally picked up a HW99S in 22 to see if it lives up to the hype 🤣
So far after a few shots in my shed range theres no twangs or galling so I am thinking I am lucky or it's been worked on (haven't opened it up yet)
Can't wait to get it zeroed and put through it's paces.

Yerr, they're good standard, a bit of tuning and they're superb.😉👍

My squirrel gun of choice is now a
HW99 in 177 calibre.
Benifitting from Dave Price internals , lasar accurate with barely a nudge at the shoulder.
Teamed with H&N Baracuda 8, which it slightly favours over FTT. Bringing a cost advantage over Express.

I don't think you can go wrong with a HW99s my lad has had one 12 years now its been faultless its polished up internally and upon stripping it ten years latter the spring was a bit crooked so he got a Welsh willy Drogda spring and a vortex seal off his mate. Its back to 11.3ftlbs now on hobbys. Enjoy it they are good air rifles and so popular for good reason.

The hype of the dreaded "galling" it suffers from, most likely.
Bought one (new) 3 weeks ago . Fired 2 pellets to verify that it does work. then followed Tinbum's videos on the 99 . result the gun is just sublime . bought a red dot to try from a forum member only to find that my astigmatism ruins the red /green dot so now looking for a sensibly priced scope for vermin .
