That's some of the nicest grain I've seen on a rifle!
Obviously not a standard HW plank. This one was fashioned by Warren Edwards. It’s big and chunky at the grip but it carries the 80 action well. That's some of the nicest grain I've seen on a rifle!
It's not often I admit to being envious of another mans wood..Obviously not a standard HW plank. This one was fashioned by Warren Edwards. It’s big and chunky at the grip but it carries the 80 action well.![]()
Brilliant..Just remembered I swapped a BSA Meteor for this one!, The action was Blue-less and the pratt had tried to Biathalon the stock but removed too much and it split in two!!
I ended up getting two scrap pieces of 1" Birch ply, Glueing them together, Cutting out the inletting and then shaping the outside, It was through necessity as there was no internet to buy stuff back then!!
The one to the left of centre with the light plywood stock!

So can you detail what Paul does to an HW80?80 from 1990, started life as a.22, now 177, its had the full Paul Short treatment, CS500 stock, that was refinished by Craig Petty to reflex mod by banned member who shall not be named
This 80 was done slightly differently, as its for bell target shooting. My other 80(also 177) runs at low 11's, & the insides of that will be the same as yours, if yours is the titanium piston tuneSo can you detail what Paul does to an HW80?
I have a 97 done by him (amazing) but am interested to know what he does different to an 80?
I always hankered after an 80, but bought a FWB 127 instead (in 1983, which I still own), which looks similar to the Mk I 80 in stock style, but is lighter (and also received rave reviews back in the day).
