I've got the print subscription. It's a nice treat every month on the post.

It's a change to sit in a chair and read a physical item rather than frying my eyes on a screen.

Me too the Digital version just gives me an easier screenshot option if I were to save any info I read, beats having a photo with the shadow of my bloody hand & phone in it 😁
But yes Its nice when you hear the letterbox rattle every month

AGW seems to have become a marketing arm of BRK/Daystate. The latest issue arrived the other day and the missus put it on the side and it’s still there. Not even flicked through it. I can’t bring myself to pick it up because I just know what’s in there, waiting.
Time to pull the plug.
Yep, 1978

I stopped buying it because of all the adds.
Also the reviews seemed to be the same old stuff never a bad word about any rifle featured.

As a newbie to the airgun world I did wonder if I should start looking at magazines to read. The club I've joined has a café & there are usually a few magazines lying around to read over a cup of coffee. I picked a few up & had a flick through, I don't think I'll bother paying for any.
They appeared, to me, like all the other magazines for all my other hobbies/sports I have bought, & stopped buying, over the years. After a few months the articles become same, same & it's all repeats. The adverts I understand are a requirement to keep the publication going but very rarely did I bother to check them out.
This thread has made my mind up & I wont bother spending any money on any airgun magazines, I may, however, still take one from the table at the club to look through while having a coffee & a bacon cob. :)

I'm sure that a few of us on here still appreciate something to read with actual proper pages while having a cuppa 👌

I will admit - I have tried to expand a bit of small text with my thumb and finger in a magazine once 🤦😃👍

Don't buy it on a regular basis, usually just flick through it in the newsagents and if there's something in there of interest I'll purchase a copy.
Saying that just got the April issue, good article on the 99s by Pete Evans, also used to enjoy Jim Tyler's articles.
Do prefer picking up a magazine to read rather than going on line, same with books.

Yes mate i like to pick a mag when chilling with a cuppa and open the pages and read what i want when i want --you cant beat flicking threw the bits you want --But as said Airgun world has gone down from what it used to be--more add than articles and far to much on the high end guns that many of us just will not be getting unless we win the lottery--it is expensive to buy these days --i only get it as it wa brought as gift for me at Christmas time --otherwise i wouldn't get it --it is no where as good as it used to be ----i used liked the Airgunner better when that was around i found it more akin to hunters rather than target shooters but that is long gone now --and that other one that came out "airgun shooter" ---the best one i remember from back in the day and the first airgun mag i got was "sporting air rifle"

To satisfy my idle curiosity, I have just done a search for the actual price of a modern Airgun World magazine.
You can secure a thirteen month subscription for as little as £3.93.
Some clown on that auction site will sell you the April '26 edition for £11.99

I still read and enjoy it every month, always in Tesco whilst the wife is getting the groceries. Takes all of three minutes cover to cover, skipping the adverts i.e. most of it. 😂

Do like we all do after a year or two subscription, cancel then do a Supermarket Page flick For......
Fweeeeeeee 😂 while missus trolls the Massive ladies clothes section 😏
Tinternet has replaced the good ole mags... even good ole Razzler 🤔

Before the Internet the Airgun magazines were really all you had for information on upcoming and older rifles, i have every Airgun world / Airgunner / Sporting Air rifles / plus all the annuals from they began until the 2010s it was downhill after that.

I still enjoy reading the old magazines and have most of the rifles featured in them now, back then i remember thinking id love to own and shoot with whatever rifle had just came out to see what they were like.
This is what started my lifelong obsession with vintage air rifles/pistols.

It's a shame that new shooters don't have this with Airgun magazines now because its a case of "He who pays the piper calls the tune"

Ran a subscription for a year, but didn't really find any valuable info and full of adds. Overall was always pretty uninteresting.

I bought the February issue because the hw100x was on the cover and I’m still researching for my first rifle since by 8 year break. As a “newbie” I wasn’t impressed overall because the magazine was 24% adverts and content seemed bare. It reminded me of my first attempt to create a PowerPoint presentation (ie, full of images and lots of empty space in an attempt to just fill pages) that was pretty darn awful, but I was very young and was not an editor. For £7 I doubt I would be rushing to get another copy soon. I understand that it is the adverts that fund the magazine so these are unavoidable but they could cram 4 adverts on one page, allowing for more content.

I hope that doesn’t sound too bad and I’d happily pay £7 for a hard copy magazine that had more in it.

For now, il watch YouTube videos, use this forum and listen to the few airgun related podcasts out there. Im
Hoping to bump into mr Garvey one day in town to have a quick chin wag and discuss reds
