I built this in spring 2022, and it’s been quite handy as a place to work outside when it’s raining, BBQ’s, and general sheltered winter storage.

Unfortunately, it met an untimely end sometime last night, along with everything that was in it !

Tree looked quite healthy too. Did it make much noise when it decided to lie down?

I think it was about 11pm, and I heard something that didn’t sound too clever, but didn’t pay much attention as I was lay in bed nursing a banging headache.

Oh bugger!!!!! At least you can rebuild --and the green house was ok and no one hurt was that down to Claudia?

What with the very strong winds and heavy rain plus the shallow roots they are a recipe for disaster. Had a few 40ft high ones come down on fishing club lodge last year took two days to clear up. At least no one was hurt and you can rebuild.

All sorted, I got to where it was in the first pic with my Aldi cordless chainsaw, a tree surgeon came mid morning and did the rest.
Incidentally, and here’s a recommendation for a product, the only part of the shed that remained intact, was a piece of timber bonded to a concrete fence post with CT1. It was there to tie into a corner post, just to take the last bit of whip out of the structure.

I’ve spent all yesterday and out at 7 this morning rebuilding, most enjoyable!

I took on board that when it was destroyed, the only part left intact was a timber post bonded to a concrete fence post with CT1. So this time round, the timber against the fence are bonded to the concrete posts with the same stuff. Need a few more rafters in there, then some slates, job done.

I even managed to salvage my quartz top for the workbench. It was dead handy for doing bits on when it’s raining, so was keen to save it.
