a bit quiet this morning, so after an hour i got the squirrel caller out for a few minutes of tapping/barking.
i couldnt believe it when an hour and a half later one turned up, so i estimate it had probably travelled about 5 miles to get to the feeder, proof that squirrel callers are effective :ROFLMAO:
i gave it another hour but no more showed up. i've noticed this particular feeder never produces much when its cold and damp ;)

Excellent shot there mate especially as the buggers never seem to be still very long (y)

Nice to get something for the time.

What caller do you use?
I've only ever tried my own mouth, and that sounds more like someone having problems with dentures, than an irate grey.
sorry mate i was convinced i'd replied Homer face palm please dont put me in a nursing home 😀
its a primos squirrel caller and i feel its worth having in my pocket. when a squirrel turns up within 10mins of using it i like to think it helped, but we'll never really know, but i've had quite a few aggressive males comes charging in as, or immediately after giving it a few barks.
over the years i've found it more than useful stalking through woods. many is the time i've stood for 10mins against a tree with a .410 shotgun, scanning seemingly barren woodland, then a few taps and barks would often reveal a squirrels tail flicking and giving its position away (y)
