Hi all .

I am after advice about my first PCP a AA 410 S purchased off of the for sale section on here.
The rifle is shooting very low and very right. I have tried 3 scopes now and they all run out of adjustment. I am thinking it can only really be the barrel is ot straight. I tried loosening the barrel band but that did not help either.

Did you use the same mounts for all three scopes?

If you think the barrel isn't straight, you might try "clocking" the barrel? The only issue is that it seems that very few barrel bores are actually concentric with the barrel outer.

No i tried some different mounts actually. Lower profile in an attempt to get the elevation right at least. But still now joy.

Have you tried it without the mod?

Also, out of interest, have you had it through a chrono?
I shot one pellet without the mod and it was loud. I should really try a few more pellets. My new chrono i cant really make it out the readings. But the power is on par with my hw97. I have ordered a better chrono to try. Actually that might be it right now.

Yes, unfortunately PCPs are not quiet unless hushed with something, be it shroud and/or mod. My S400 is loud without mod but my HW100 KT is even worse, it's like a bloody musket.

Might be worth removing the mod and shining a light down and look through both ends to see if there's any signs of pellet contact.

Thanks, a job for the weekend, maybe tomorrow lets see.

Did the previous owner report any issues with accuracy, perhaps they might be able to shed some light on the matter?
Oops......?Great minds think alike.

Fix a set of scope mounts only to the rail , using them like an iron sight see if the barrel looks aligned , if so take a few shots preferably rested at a target using the rings, without the mod,if everything is straight the POI should be an inch or two lower but straight, if not then you know the barrel is off to the rail, if it is straight add the mod and go from there.
