Hey everyone well I was out on the rabbits last night and as I was climbing over a gate my foot slipped and that resulted in the r-12 slipping off my shoulder and into a metal I-beam on the pistol grip cap which ended up looking like this in the light of day.
So my question is who is the best person or place to have it sorted out

Just crank the sander up and shape it till it's even all over...
That's not going to happen lol but I was thinking about sanding the rough edges off and filling it in with something and sanding that back down it's not like I am ever planning on selling it so I don't mind it that much just don't want moisture getting into it and making things worse over time

Bummer ! ☹️That sucks; However, one should always dismount( & unload ) a rifle & either set it over or slide it under a gate or fence, before crossing same, yourself...one of the first things they taught in Hunter's Safety Class.

And I thought I had a bad night last night, we should have know better going out on a clear full moon ….

Hope the rest of the rifles good, I totalled my last pcp like that !!

I know but I thought it's just one gate what could happen I will be doing it from now on tho and I would of never have done it with an actual rifle or shotgun but I guess complacency gets everyone in the end

Yea it was so bright out last night that the rabbits would run as soon as I walked into the field

Closest I got was 50 yards … and the wind switched on me in the hide …. Should have stayed in a bed !!
I could seen loads of rabbits in the thermal but they stayed in the hedgerows if I was anywhere near 60 yards ISH and that's was as far back I could get as it's a little orchard granden

If you were thinking of filling it yourself. I would recommend Milliput Epoxy resin. It’s not expensive and is a two part mix. Simple to use and great for sanding smooth or grinding. Finish is hard as rock. Can be painted. I have used it for many repairs. Comes in black or natural (horrible yellowy colour)

Edit .. Epoxy Putty, not resin

Thanks for the advice mate but I have been in touch with @Nath92 and it will be taking a little trip to him so he can work his magic and no one will ever know lol
