Has anyone tried the new fx chronograph with jsb shorts or is it better to get the ahtlon chronograph

Not sure what the pellet brand has to do with it but I have an original FX and it works fine for my purposes but if I was doing serious ballistic investigations I would get something else, probably an LMBR.

The Athlon is on sale at Optis Warehouse at the moment.

Was hoping the new one picked them up as I don't like bug bulky chronographs but looks like I'll have to get the athlon

I had issues with my MK1 when I first put a .22 pellet through it. It had worked fine all year with .177 but did not detect .22. I took the device off default settings and it worked fine for both after that.

You do know you can adjust the sensitivity for these? If your struggling on a setting you can turn it up in the software, it's as a %age return ;)

Where abouts is this setting I've looked at most of the settings and still cant pick up shorts

Anyone ordering the new FX chronograph just check the back when you receive it.The charging cable is packed underneath in the box and the metal end has (during transit) scratched the back of the one l bought,or it's a return.Never got to try it as it went straight back.

I know you can do this on the MK1's (Which also have the bigger sensor and mine never misses a shot... even from a Nerf gun... I was bored 😂)

Using a mates MK2, the smaller rechargeable one... it doesn't have the same flexibility of settings when connected in the app. (At least on iPhone, I can't comment on Android etc)

Will be interesting to see how the new with the display performs with smaller, lighter pellets.
