Just bought one from Pellpax....priced really keenly, think everyone else is hunting down Snowpeak AP900's. Getting it next weekend. Any tips on what to do out the box? My first airrifle, so planning to clean the barrel and then find the right pellets.

My Lyra (.177)doesn't seem to be particularly pellet fussy, I feed her with Baracuda 8s, Superdomes & Crosman domed amongst others.
A barrel clean is a good idea and you might want to buy a Bob P single shot loader - the supplied one is next to useless.

thanks, the single loader looks good but they don't do one for the lyra by the looks of it. the Bob Pattenden ssl is available from eBay they are superb,
Took the Lyra out yesterday for the first time and I couldn't be happier. For the money it's an amazing rifle. I was only shooting out to 35m but once zeroed in I was hitting the smallest spinners every time. Will get it out to 40-50m next week

The Pretensis one fits the Lyra (and several other Reximexs!).

Thanks will have to fit the blanking sheet to stop the pellets falling backwards....seems like a simple thing to engineer out.
