RAW TM1000

Another club with tables not conducive for benchrest. I can see no benefit to the cut out in tables, personally.

What is your ultimate use for the rifle?

It’s for this lol

I've been playing with the cone distance on the stripper and have found it makes a big difference to group size. Using AADF 452 in mine at the moment but it's early days with mine.

it's a shame the stripper cone isn't cal specific im sure it 6mm hole .

At 6mm it will have 0.75mm (3/4 quarters of a mm) clearance a side so quite close tolerances,at say 5mm it would only have the obvious 0.25mm (quarter (1/4)of a mm) a side clearance,so any slight miss alignment would cause havoc.
Its not impossible, but would be hard to do in mass production without hyper qc = more cost, plus they have in think of end user error

Had the TM for two months and yesterday due to various reasons was my first opportunity to try some Pellet testing. The shooting was outside at 40yds from a support on a bench. Air was damp with a very light if any Breeze. The cone of the stripper was set as it came with the gun being level with the end of the housing,,,, I have to say my ability is not what it was and I have done very little shooting in the last 4 months. However the results of 7 pellets for each group were not as good or what I was expecting compared to the HM1000X I have been shooting (with a mag}..
Best was
HN Baracuda FT a 14mm edge to edge group
AA field Dia was exactly the same but with one flier
Daystate Kaisers 18mm
Barracuda 8's and HN FTT's not so tight a spread of 20mm
HN Match very similar which was a surprise as these were the best in the 1000x
Finally JSB Heavies 25mm edge to edge without one hole touching another.

Conclusion is that Testing is far from finished. Barrel may need more leading in, only had about 50 pellets thro it prior to yesterday and I need more practice but I will repeat to see if the order remains the same and then try very minor adjustments of the stripper to see what effect that has. One thing for sure is it will keep the interest high assuming I do not find the near perfect group next time out. Then to try a moderator to see if any noise reduction and accuracy difference.

Too be honest u need to test indoors first….. then go outside..
Also I found that the jsb shorts work the best by far I’ve messed around with the cone too and found that it works best with the original settings that it came with maybe different with your gun as no guns are the same 👍 hope this helps

What Pellets did you settle on for your TM1000… I’m using JSB 8.44’s but wondering if I should be considering others..?
I've only shot it a couple of times and didn't spend too long either time but it seemed to like H & N Baracuda 8 & JSB Exact 8.44 (std & shorts). Next time I'm planning on drilling down a bit more to see which is the best but spending more than 40 mins at the range is still quite new to me and feels a bit strange but I need to press on.

Sorry forgot to say I shoot it at 25meter bench rest 🤪

Thanks for the comment Unfortunately I do not have access to an indoor range, they are lacking in this neck of the woods. I envy those of you who have, it would take all the weather variables out of the equation. As for the stripper Not adjusting at the moment will wait til am sure on which pellet is the better match for the barrel Hope its not a never ending quest.

I dream of shooting on indoor benches like this, for some reason most ranges in the West Midlands seem to think rifles are only 18 inches long.

Me too, would love to have access to an indoor range. West Mids, Staffs, Derbyshire, Warwickshire - zero indoor ranges. Tell me I’m wrong, been looking for one for years.

I have mentioned elsewhere it's probable you will need to find a smallbore rifle club that allows air rifles. Do your probationary period and become a member.

It might be a problem for some as you need to sign a section 21 declaration stating you are not prohibited from owning a firearm and you will have to have a police check done.
