RAW TM1000

Well, I’ve got to say this is the most pellet fussy gun I’ve ever owned. Tbh, I was almost ready to throw in the towel and ask for a refund when I discovered it likes H&N Barracuda 8’s. Still not convinced it’s as good as my Blackwolf but, I’ll persevere for a while now I know what food it likes. Next job will be to buy some more B 8’s and weigh them. MY PB is 248 on the forum’s bench rest comp using my BW and weighed JSB Heavies. I managed the same score with the TM1000 using B 8’s straight out of the tin so, really hoping I’ll do better with it. The trigger is absolutely sublime, best I’ve ever used and, I love the stock which fits me like a glove.

There’s a few pics attached. I’ve subsequently removed the 170mm EagleVision dovetail to picatinney adapter and swapped it for their 2 piece version as the single piece obstructed the breech a little.

The silencer is an AirMaks short model. I tried several using the supplied adapter (my gun’s got the threaded barrel) and couldn’t notice any difference in accuracy between them nor, indeed, when using the air stripper. The stripper is too loud for me (plus my regular club requires silencers to be fitted). I chose this one as it has plenty of meat in the back plate which has allowed me (read local engineer) to drill out the 1/2” UNF and retap an M16x1 thread - fits beautifully. And, it doesn’t need to be removed to fit into the case.
The triggers are great and even better with the Rowan Engineering blade upgrade (y)

very nice, interesting to see the thread on the barrel doesn't go right to the end

Have you rodded a pellet or 2 down the bore? Im going to point at the choke being tighter than normal or the bore has deformation due to the addition of the thread,im not a fan of the changes at all they've made to the new tm1000, all backwards moves

There’s really no need to apply grub screws - the air stripper screws onto the threaded barrel very securely.
I know buddy I have both barrels but I was stating why the unthreaded section is there and that’s why 🙄

As the rear of the stripper slides over the carbon sleeve you can position the cones adjustable grub screw at 12 o’clock and use the two side grub screws to lock it in that position as sometimes screwing it fully home means the cones grub screws is not at 12 o’clock 😉
