Which Sound Mod/Silencer

Im currently looking into a sound moderator/suppressor/silencer (Whichever you prefer to call them).
Initially I'm looking for out and out sound reduction, for back garden zeroing/practice etc. So not too bothered about size.
It will be going on a .177. 1/2" UNF possibly a Daystate Huntsman.
Further down the line I will probably end up with a second, smaller/lighter, more suited to field and range work.
Any recommendations please?

Quiet is quiet, so I wouldn't bother with two and just get the best single option from the start & be careful with some of the multi-calibre compatible ones like AirMaks unless they come with inserts- the increased aperture needed for a .25 doesn't help much on a .177
 
I’m a big fan of A&M moderators, every bit as good as HW ones and they are made in the UK 👍
 
Hello, Matt makes some good silencers , The HW XL has good reviews but expensive, I have a SAK on my Verminator and that is very quite, There has not been any new videos on Silencers to make any comparison but AGF members can give good opinions and worth noting, Matts silencer went on a NP 02 in 22 and sold to a couple who shoot targets as they said how quite it was compared to some they tried
 
A&M Nelix is about as quiet as it gets for 12 fpe guns, we are talking about action noise only.
 
Weihrauch XL for me too, liked it so much I bought 2! Standard weirauch mod is also good, and although a bit marmite in reputation, the Huggett atom is good on some of my guns.

Hello, We had an idea many years back when someone bought an oil suppressor off Aliexpress, They came with 1/2 inch UNF and cheap, Just the right size for a Silencer, I bought a few and use on a SMK XS 79 177
