New DNT Zulus tubed 4K scope

@RussDouglas222 it's getting harder and harder to claim impartiality when you're posting links like the above. I can't see any actual offers on that page, or items cheaper than at independent retailers?
Did I say it was a reduction offer? 🧐

Folk have been messaging me asking about availability, and just like them I've been gagging to buy my own ZT4K.
So once they went on sale at 08:37, (yes I had been pressing refresh since 5am in-between doing other stuff), I bought mine and shared that they're now available. 😇🤷🏻‍♂️

It's good to talk. 🤜🤛

You didn't, to be fair. Post edited 👍

In my (thin) defence, these things are always reduced soon after launch, so I (wrongly) assumed "on sale" meant reduced in price. Some places have been taking pre-orders, too; I was at crossed purposes.

Pressing the cog is acting as a cancel button then a second press changes the colour.

That's the same in all the scopes as far as I'm aware. I know it's definitely in the V2.

Ah sorry, I was mistaken. (Not at home so I could not check myself). So the V2 does it but NOT the 635, nor the 225! There is no reason why you’d have to relase the target after changing the reticle colour to improve contrast…

It's a different beast to the zulus. This is designed for people who much prefer tubed style scopes.
Most people who have tubed style scopes have their own IR so DNT took the decision to not build in an IR. That way owners can use their own one or buy one that they want. They can also use it as a day scope without the added bulk of an IR.

Everybody is different and the more choice people have the happier they are.

Definitely be easier to store in a gun cabinet for FAC users

Some insider information.

I have been working on some new features which are going to be introduced into the next firmware release of the ZT4K.

The main one is loading of profiles.

Instead of loading the profiles individually, the profiles will be loaded as a pair by loading the ballistic profile.

This means if you load ballistic profile B the associated zero profile B will be loaded. This will make things simpler to manage and operate.

We will monitor how this changes are working and possibly over time roll this feature out to the previous versions of Zulus and TNC scopes.

Obvious really but a great addition

I am looking into this to see if this can be changed.

Spoke with Blackwoods yesterday, telling them I didn't want a delivery here after the 5th of Feb, because of hol's could I pay and let them know when home. They told me they should have them in tomorrow (22nd) and should be with customers from next Monday.
Went back online, put order in.....Don't forget discount code: AGF-MEMBER which gave me -£64.99 at checkout.

Its a good point with these scopes. My gun cabinet is only 220mm deep (I think it was). I had to cut the back out and weld a recessed box to take the scope and impact. Too tight to buy a new cabinet 😄
I don’t know if it already exists but a mount that once set up and zeroed would have some sort of adjustment that would set that position but be quick release for storage but simple to refit, good to go?

Such mounts exist, but they're not cheap at all.
I've had return-to zero on Picatinny rails with one rifle/scope combo, then another has failed the same test... but could you start a thread for this topic, so this DNT Zulus 4K thread doesn't get derailed? 🙏😇
