Got my order in for a 4k Zulus. Will be interesting to compare to my V2 Zulus.
Did I say it was a reduction offer?@RussDouglas222 it's getting harder and harder to claim impartiality when you're posting links like the above. I can't see any actual offers on that page, or items cheaper than at independent retailers?
Ah sorry, I was mistaken. (Not at home so I could not check myself). So the V2 does it but NOT the 635, nor the 225! There is no reason why you’d have to relase the target after changing the reticle colour to improve contrast……
Pressing the cog is acting as a cancel button then a second press changes the colour.
That's the same in all the scopes as far as I'm aware. I know it's definitely in the V2.

Definitely be easier to store in a gun cabinet for FAC usersIt's a different beast to the zulus. This is designed for people who much prefer tubed style scopes.
Most people who have tubed style scopes have their own IR so DNT took the decision to not build in an IR. That way owners can use their own one or buy one that they want. They can also use it as a day scope without the added bulk of an IR.
Everybody is different and the more choice people have the happier they are.

Obvious really but a great additionSome insider information.
I have been working on some new features which are going to be introduced into the next firmware release of the ZT4K.
The main one is loading of profiles.
Instead of loading the profiles individually, the profiles will be loaded as a pair by loading the ballistic profile.
This means if you load ballistic profile B the associated zero profile B will be loaded. This will make things simpler to manage and operate.
We will monitor how this changes are working and possibly over time roll this feature out to the previous versions of Zulus and TNC scopes.

I am looking into this to see if this can be changed.Ah sorry, I was mistaken. (Not at home so I could not check myself). So the V2 does it but NOT the 635, nor the 225! There is no reason why you’d have to relase the target after changing the reticle colour to improve contrast…
Its a good point with these scopes. My gun cabinet is only 220mm deep (I think it was). I had to cut the back out and weld a recessed box to take the scope and impact. Too tight to buy a new cabinetDefinitely be easier to store in a gun cabinet for FAC users
I don’t know if it already exists but a mount that once set up and zeroed would have some sort of adjustment that would set that position but be quick release for storage but simple to refit, good to go?Its a good point with these scopes. Such mounts exist, but they're not cheap at all.I don’t know if it already exists but a mount that once set up and zeroed would have some sort of adjustment that would set that position but be quick release for storage but simple to refit, good to go?
No it's plastic opens easy.Is the usb port cover still aluminium and still a tad difficult to open?
