So i was given a very tired and leaky S400 tdr over xmas, a simple strip and re-seal would've had it running again but wheres the fun in that.
Stock stripped and sanded plus a 65 mm foregrip extension, wet & dry the tube and barrel ready for blueing, added a carbon shroud to the barrel
decided to how a go at hydrodipping the stock, how hard can it be ?

Messy stuff but quite therapeutic, it's kept me busy for a week or two , probably cost more in time than money so maybe £ 50 in materials
It's not everyones cup of tea, i'm still not sure about the finsh but hey

Treated myself to a new scope which came today, she's all done, i'll put my hardhat on and await the haters Hunting gif
 
Nice job, not my cup of tea personally, but hey, whatever floats your boat and looks good on completion.

A unique set of woodwork you’ve got there Mr JT, I think it works really well to say it’s a first attempt at hydro dipping.

I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it given the chance. 👍🏻
