Hi AGF. I have a ATA Airborne and would like to fit a bipod to it.Now the problem is the flat profile of the stock forend. Almost all bipods are made for a more rounded profile so are not going to sit flat on the stock. I have fitted a Q stud but that is as far as I have got. There is an option of putting a barrel/cylinder picatiny slide on adapter on the bay but I don't know if this will affect the guns performance or not. Has anyone come across this problem themselves, if so how did you get around it? Regards Chris.

If it's flat underneath a short picatinny rail under there and bipod to suit that would be the way I'd go
Hi Wuggis72. It's the same with fitting a picatiny rail, they are curved so do not sit flat on the stock. I don't want to leave marks on stock because of ill fitting or am I missing something here?

Loads of sling stud to picatinny adapters available like this. I've got a spare I can dig out when I get home. Uses the rubber damper to protect the stock
