Hi, bought new and just started improving a few things , the stock is lovely but i have oiled and polished lightly it is now really nice, as most people who have tried to change the silencer have found out the thread on the barrel is terrible but matches the ata silencer i can only assume that the factory tooling is a bit off, anyway i have die cut the threads with a hand held die and it wasnt awkward just a bit slow and steady and now my HW silencer is a perfect fit ( it wouldnt even start on the factory thread.

I know the triggers are hit and miss on these and mine is a miss for sure, the adjustment screw has no effect what so ever and it is heavy and a bit graunchy , has anyone solved this bar a clean and polish ?

Hi , well it's a very basic mechanism to take out and all I have done is clean up with scotchbrite and fine emery paper , cleaned with solvent and added a smear of silicone grease to the moving parts it didn't take long at all , care was taken not to lose the 2x springs and pins.
The only thing I replaced was the little adjustment screw for a 5mm longer one to see if it made any difference.
Refitted it all in reverse order then cocked the gun and wound the screw in until it fired then backed it off until it was acceptable, care taken to ensure it won't go off with a knock as well so I came back one whole turn on the screw.

It's still way too heavy but the graunch has gone and I reckon the final powder coating on the seats caused the graunch it is not a classy job and both the trigger and sear had it on.
There is no way these could ever be a two stage trigger by design it's a simple pull and release, it's acceptable and that's about it , very accurate gun but limited by the trigger pull.

I have taken that trigger back out , the powder coating or paint is really thick in the trigger recess and it interfered with the mechanism , I have cleaned it with fine emery paper and it's better again although heavy and I can't do a lot more to it except try some different springs , i.ll ponder that.

Found a leaky seal under the fill valve , that's been replaced so set up with chrono and set on 11.5 ft/bs with baracuda match 10.65g.

Shoots well.

Could do with a video of the work your doing with the trigger. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat. I know I am.

I hate doing videos cos I sound like a turnip farmer , they are really simple to work on , trouble is you can't do that much to it but the flip side of that is you can't really do much wrong either.

Couple of vids there and the trigger is so much better after doing that , no idea why and it was just something simple to try , if you do it make sure you keep a little bit of pressure on the plate as you unscrew it.

The leak was the seal on the face from the bottle to the reg, all seals were fine but I removed and smeared silicone grease on them there was a small slither of swarf between the faces and maybe that was the cause , all back together in around 10 minutes, all good

That target was shot after the rifle was rebuilt , the trigger and performance was a definite improvement, that 14 shots through each target and not really concentrating , hopefully that's my gun sorted , I enjoyed doing that and it seems worthwhile.

Forgot to say there what I did that made the trigger different, I had nothing to lose so just swapped the trigger spring and sear spring around and refitted , total change in feel.
The picture shows how they were at first from new , swapped front to back and back to front , cocked the gun and wound the adjustment screw in till it fired then backed it off 1/4 of a turn , refitted the stock and ensured that it wouldn't self fire.
Maximum 5 minute job.

Thanks Baldywig,I will certainly be trying this myself.

My mate has got one of those, when I tried it I was very impressed. No issues at all and the trigger is good. He has also put on the carbon bottle which makes a lot of difference to the weight and balance, for the better.
Great thread, if he makes any more changes I will post it hopefully with some pictures.

Cheers, the triggers are wildly different on each gum , I only saw one reviewer question it , mine was horrible , I put 130 pellets through it today and it's much better now well night/day different.
The bottle will be interesting.
