Many years ago I picked up a Gamo 177 for my son. I smartened the stock up and got it shooting for him but it’s laid neglected for over 30 years. His son is now around 10 years old and I’d like to revive it for him to use.
I’m looking for a rear sight and a pair of scope mounts for it, anyone have an idea where I might get them from, bearing in mind the ‘rails’ are simply machined grooves around 12mm wide.

The rails are standard 11mm. These were marketed by Daisy as model 120 and sold in box stores in the early 80's. I picked one up to see what a spring pellet rifle was like. 23 years old at the time. I mounted a Weaver 7/8" .22 scope that came with the rings on it and it worked fine for a good many years. Still does. There is also a variable version of that scope. Weaver were very popular in the US. I always have a strong preference for break barrels. 5 years later I already had a BSA light pattern, BSA Mercury S. Beeman R7, R10, HW55, and a Theoben Sirocco Deluxe. 28 years old.
Nash shooting it below. He'll be 21 next week. Our boys learned by holding and loading the gun on their own

These are basically the same as the ASI Sniper. There is a current thread running on the resto of one of those. A quick search should find it for you and it might help with parts.

Any 9-11mm dovetail scope mounts will be suitable. The rear sight might be the harder to find but have a look on the Protek Supplies website, they have all sorts of stuff from other manufacturers that could potentially be adapted to fit.
