Growing up in the 70's catalogue.

I remember getting my first tranny, a PYE Mistral radio (amongst others) from a catalogue. That radio gave me years of pleasure, loved that radio.

Mortifying 🤣
I remember way back when I was a teenager and Madonna posed for playboy. Me and my mate obviously wanted to see 🤣
We were in the city centre newsagents on a Saturday at 2pm …(heaving) we saw the mag on the top shelf.. I reached up and grabbed it, flicked to the index and a woman bellowed put it back. So I did….. left it a few minutes .. pretending to be intrigued by knitting world in front of me.. my mate gave me the nudge so I reached up, grabbed it, flicked to the index, got the page number and started searching.. heart racing!!!

Next minute the woman, closer now screamed I said put it back. Everyone stopped to look at two spotty teenagers with a copy of playboy… my mate legged it.. I threw the mag back up , not sure what happened but the whole shelf collapsed and the entire collection of dirty mags fell to the floor… pages wide open!!

For a second I couldn’t register what had just happened, then decided to leg it, the woman grabbed my collar and told me infront of all the other shoppers to sort my mess!!

Red faced I was bent over staring at boobs and furry bits scattered across the floor. Everyone just stood in silence watching me fumble awkwardly closing the magazines and piling them up

Mortifying!!

I never went near the shop ever again - nor did I ever get to see Madonna either 🤣
I did-my mate’s dad had that issue.
If you drew two eyes above her navel, you could be forgiven for imagining she had Geoff Capes hiding in her “nether-garments”😱

Had a Barnett Widcat Crossbow, pretty sure that came from a catalogue at the time, changed the prod(is it) for a 200lb draw one.Had to fit a leather strap to the front to put my foot through to cock it.
