Do vintage air rifle users also use vintage scopes?

I remember Kasnar scopes from my youth and have been looking for some for years but always seem to miss them. Their 4x32 was sooo much better the more commonly available 4x15 or 4x20 available at the time. Some of my guns will only ever be used open sighted but the rest will be set up with age...

New project on the horizon - Anschutz 335 mk2 .177

Only the mk1’s have the mechanism to stop the trigger being pulled once the guns cocked, so if it’s the squeeze type barrel lock it wouldn’t have had one, it’s only the ones with the pull breech lock.

So we've had the rudest incident at a range, what's the most dangerous that you've seen

Been there years ago on a full bore pistol range when down range not pleasant.

Your rudest encounter at a club or range

I was a member of the National Field Archery Society for 25 years and helped run a club and as a coach for many years, but decided that life was just too short to put up with all the sort of stuff mentioned and left, it’s why I’ll only do pay to play at a range as really had enough. Currently...

How do we encourage new people into the sport ?

I went to a localish club a number of years back, all was ok until I mentioned I just wanted to shoot old springers at that point they couldn’t really be bothered and wanted to get rid of me a quickly as possible so never went back.

    I’ve made a discovery

I retired early and spent a year redecorating the house to sell it only for the market to tank locally. So now as we are staying I’ve got to redecorate it more to ‘our taste’ it’s not even had a chance for there to be decent cobwebs!

    Want of the Week

1-3 acres of rough ground, to let the dogs run, to set up some 3d archery targets and to practice with my air rifles. However as the whole of north Essex seems to be designated brown field the price of that will need a lottery win to pay for it.

Please, there is such a thing as shooting from a standing position.

I’m a field archer and that by necessity is done mainly stood up so i practice stood up as well as sat down and kneeling when i get the air rifles out noticed that down the shooting range the majority of shooters like me to put it kindly are not as young as they once were so just find it much...

    Auto darkening welding mask

Ok so can anyone suggest a good auto darkening welding mask, needs a big screen and a lot of size adjustment as I’ve got a big head and wear glasses. I tried welding with my old one for the first time with glasses and it didn’t end well for the piece of work or the welding helmet. I would have...

    Ludicrous New Neighbour

It’s a real same we’ve got to the state in this country where any sort of field sport is considered wrong.

    I’ve made a discovery

Haha not that sort of discovery, I learnt from a friend who had one and it was a huge money pit. I do have a Classic Mini that you have to take a welder to it if you even show it a bucket of water.

    I’ve made a discovery

    I’ve made a discovery

After many hours of happy tinkering over the winter I’ve made a horrible discovery, I’ve fixed everything! If I’m not careful my wife will find some diy round the house to keep me busy, even thinking of selling something so I can buy one or two rifles in horrible condition that will take me the...

    Crossbows to be banned

The NFAS have classes in their competitions for Crossbows so not sure what’ll happen there. Got a 90lb one myself that I used for coaching (as they are not quite as easy to shoot as you think) but will probably just cut it up. Agree with licensing but not banning as you need to keep them out of...
