Yep towards the muzzle. After posting original message, I found that I could just and so cut/ file a scope mount that I had, so that It sits under the tiny hawke red dot. Photo attached. Seems to be holding in place, fingers crossed.

I think hawke design, should have put Two screws on the scope at least. Instead they put one screw in the middle and don't supply a washer under the nut. I always thought a washer spread the load out more evenly under the nut. Daft by any means to me. OR put a warning on the box. Unsuitable for...
Quick one. Jumped on to a hawke vantage red dot for the hw 45 9-11 dovetail to keep it lower to the gun. Problem is tightening it with the supplied plastic screwdriver thingy, the scope walks it's way down the gun. Nothing on hawkes web sight / reviews to say this is unsuitable for a spring...
🤣🤣🤣. I think a friend had a 35e and yep I always thought it was a beast to fire and carry. Mind you the mercury could hit cow pats just as well as his 35. Happy days.
