Couple of clean cuts straight thru, couple not quite so clean...

Thought I'd better join in with this thread.
Got myself some cheapo cards (they're a bit flimsy, wish I'd bought better quality).
25 yds, rested, three kills, but I only managed to wing the Jack.

@rabbitwrecker challenge accepted, I only have butchers string , it’s quite strong, took 4 hits to cut it using bsa ultra .22, And wasp pellets, swings for ever after the first hit

At our range few years back, we had few conkers on a bit of string, the string was tied to a long BBQ type cocktail stick.
We spent about an hour slowly shooting the conkers, then slowly shooting the string, then slowly shooting the cocktail stick.
It was great fun...
Also did the same thing with thunder snaps.....

Potential hat-trick after the one shot on the three of diamonds, so I dealt another, the Ace of Clubs.
Didn't quite do it, cut it in two shots.

Bit blustery here so kept it down to 10 yards. standing, off hand.

What a numpty I am! As I’m writing this I’ve only just realised I picked up a tin of express instead of rs!

What a tool! It’s zeroed for rs!

Anyway last couple of days I’ve been shooting the p17 (with rs untill today!) and thought I’d try a card………..

I chronographed it yesterday and got this 10 shot string……….



A 2fps spread over 10 shots is the best I’ve ever seen.


I’m now wondering if I actually have been shooting express the entire time ah I’m gonna have to re-chrono!

Yep I’m a numpty!

Looks like yesterday was spent shooting express, even though I could swear I’d picked up rs!

Those chrono numbers corrected for the weight of express is actually giving 3.39ftlbs!



Just did a quick test with 4 different pellets, these little p17’s are pretty amazing for the money

Anyway I’m off to re-zero with actual rs pellets this time

Then I’ll have another crack at a card.
